Cal, Richard and Staff, We would like to express our gratitude to everyone for the great treatment Bill received during his 3 weeks at the Guilford House. Every one of the staff no matter what their capacity performed their job to the upmost. Bill is improving each day- slowly- but surely. PT is going well. Thank you Lydia and Julie. Hopefully, he will be shedding the walker soon. Again Thank you Everyone! BI

From PCM
The Guilford House is a model of what all other Rehab/Skilled Nursing facilities should strive to be. It is, by far, the best on the Shoreline. This is a private husband and wife owned facility and everything is top notch–the staff, the decor, the food and the physical facility itself. The level of care from the CNAs, RNs, PT, OT, and onsite physicians is unsurpassed. This place is where all families should begin their search if rehab or skilled nursing is needed. If I could rate it ten stars, I would.

Hi,
Thanks for everything! Bill is doing great! He is walking fairly well without a cane now and driving his beloved thunderbird convertible. He still exercises with his walker at home and is getting his muscle tone back. He has gained back 16lbs of the 30 he lost. It was an excellent experience with you. Please give our best to Cal!

Dear Cal & Pat,
My wife and I would appreciate it if you would accept our thank you for the wonderful care provided after her reverse total shoulder surgery. Thank you of the leadership and the management shown at The Guilford House. The replacement of the shoulder socket is, I’m told, the most complicated of all joint replacements, so her stay at your facility was a significant test and all your departments passed with flying colors!
You have an outstanding caring organization and it starts at day one and all the people reflect this attitude.
They also strive for excellence. Two mainstays that should be mentioned are the nursing and assistants and the physical therapists. F’s recovery wouldn’t have been completed without their excellent efforts. I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention the kitchen staff from the dietitian, the chefs and servers. The food, the choices and the service match in every way the efforts of the nurses and therapists. Although you might think I didn’t notice Hurricane Sandy provides me the opportunity to congratulate the maintenance crew. While much of Guilford was without power, your generator kept the lights and heat on. So while they might not get much note, when times are so difficult, their efforts deserve a thank you too.
Please be assured that if we either need rehab care, we’ll be there. I’ve mentioned the outstanding efforts your team provided to friends, relatives and those here at The Gables. Also, please share these thoughts with your team. Knowing their efforts are noted and appreciated would be great.
Thank you, F & FW
Best regards, RB
Cal,
First, let me thank you and your extended team on the tremendous assistance you gave me while I was visiting The Guilford House. My recovery continues to improve and I owe this to The Guilford House. Your team has the common understanding and appreciation of what joint replacement recovery is all about. From nursing through physical therapy and hospitality, I was very well taken care of. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to the many folks who were assigned to my care and all those I bumped into while walking the halls. All of them said hello, were pleasant, and asked if they could assist in some way. You must be very proud of your team.
Best regards, RB

Dear Pat and Cal,
Congratulations on the excellence you have achieved here at The Guilford House! You deserve all of the accolades one hears out in the community, and I am pleased to have spent ten days with you, recuperating from hip surgery. It is rare to have the owners of a facility as present as you both are, attending to the needs and wishes of patients way beyond what is requested. Richard was very kind and friendly too.
Thank you especially, Cal for providing the conference room for a mini-reunion of some of my 1959 classmates! The luncheon was made very special by your presence and the cool, lovely setting on a 1000 day. The therapy staff was great, as were the meals every day. I felt I was part of a family while I was here. Thank you for providing such caring, excellent environment for healing. I can’t imagine any better place to be.
Fondly, JG
